Huge Results for Yarra Tri at Race 4 of the 2XU Triathlon Series
What a performance from the Yarra Triathlon Club crew at Race 4 of the 2XU Triathlon Series, which also hosted the Victorian Olympic Distance Championships.
In the Olympic Distance Championship race, Braelan delivered a standout performance to take 1st overall, an incredible result in a highly competitive field.
There were category wins as well for Trent, Karyn, and Marg, while Stephen 2nd, Tom 3rd, and Michael 3rd all earned well-deserved podium finishes.
Strong performances in tough, hot conditions also came from Ellie (10th), Sonja (11th), Emily (12th), Josh S (25th), and Jack (28th). These results secured valuable points for the team in the Victorian State Series, keeping Yarra Tri right in the mix this season.
It wasn’t just the Olympic distance athletes flying the flag.
In the Sprint Triathlon, John powered to the win, with Josh G finishing 10th and Dan 31st in strong fields.
And a special shoutout to Jordan, who completed her first ever triathlon in the Fun Tri and came away with 2nd place an amazing debut!
With over 2,000 competitors racing on the day, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. Huge thanks to the organisers for delivering such a fantastic event.
