The YarraTri team had a very successful weekend at the Lake Macquarie Super Sprint Triathlon, held on Sunday, 8 March 2026, as part of the Lake Macquarie Triathlon Festival in NSW.
The race doubled as the Australian Super Sprint Triathlon Championships, bringing together a highly competitive field from across the country in all age groups.
Racing in the Super Sprint distance, a fast and exciting format consisting of a 250 m swim, 13 km cycle, and 2.5 km run, our YarraTri athletes delivered outstanding performances.
Despite taking a small team of just four athletes to the Championships, the results were exceptional!
There were gold medals 🥇 for Karyn, Emily and Michael, along with a silver medal 🥈 for Sonja.
A fantastic result for the team and a strong showing for the club on the national stage.
