Squad Training 2022
The weekly training program resumes on Monday January 10th 2022
The program is as follows;
Monday - Run 6pm The Tan
Tuesday - Swim 6am Richmond Pool*
Tuesday - Bike 6pm Kew Blvd**
Wednesday - Track Run 6pm Collingwood Harriers Track
Thursday - Swim 6am Richmond Pool*
Friday - Open Water Swim 6am Elwood Beach
Saturday - Brick 6:45am Kevin Bartlett Reserve, Yarra Blvd, Richmond
Sunday - Social Ride, various starting times and courses
*No charge from the pool at these sessions, pay the coach directly
**Tuesday night ride session will be outdoor over summer and revert to indoor session during winter.
AFS Triathlon offers a causal rate of $17 per session.
YarraTri members can access to all 8 sessions for just $58 per fortnight through direct debit

This years bike challenge - The Serious Seven
The goal is to complete each of the seven climbs in the challenge between November 1st and April 30th 2022. The club will run an organised ride for each of the climbs or you can complete them in your own time.
Just tag #yarratri with an image of you on the top of the climbs to tick it off the list. Everyone who completes the challenge with receive a free YarraTri prize and the chance to purchase an exclusive YarraTri Serious Seven cycle jersey.

To help you complete the challenge we have three organised training weekends to complete the climbs as a group.
November 4th and 5th - Marysville weekend.
One night away in Marysville allows us to tick off the climbs of Donna Buang, Lake Mountain and Mt Buller.
March 19th and 20th - Bright weekend
Two nights away in the cycling hotspot of Bright gives us access to the longest climbs in the challenge Mt Hotham, Mt Buffalo and Fall's Creek.are giving you the chance to tick off the first three climbs in one go with a weekend way in Bright.
April 10th - Nojee to Baw Baw and return
A one day day to complete the challenge with a 100km ride from the township of Nojee to the top of Baw Baw and back.

Yarra Triathlon is proud to have Michael Pratt of AFS Triathlon as our leading coach and co-ordinator for all training sessions. Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and experience not only as a successful competitor himself but also as having a high level of coaching prowess. He has at times been part of the Triathlon Victoria committee ensuring progress in this amazing sport as well as keeping a high level of integrity for all competitors.
Michael provides feedback and progressive skill development across all disciplines to ensure you get the most out of every training session.
Yarra Triathlon offers seven different introductory short courses throughout the year covering Swimming, Cycling, Running, Strength Training, Duathlon, Triathlon and Junior Triathlon. Short courses provide structured training for beginners wanting to develop skills, knowledge and fitness in multisport training.
Short courses are a great introduction into squad training and provide participants with a pathway into the Yarra Triathlon program on completion of the course.

Swim -Monday's from 7pm - 8pm at a Location to be confirmed
Bike - Saturday's from 8:30 - 9:30 at Richmond Bld
Run - Wednesday's from 6pm - 7pm at Collingwood Athletics Track
